RAPID CITY, SD – Regional Home Medical Equipment (RHME), a specialty provider of respiratory and home medical equipment in Deadwood, Rapid City, Spearfish and Sturgis, has successfully fulfilled the requirements for receiving the Exemplary Provider™ Certificate of Accreditation from The Compliance Team, Inc., a Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) approved healthcare accrediting body based in Spring House, Pa.
Howard Sickler, RHME Director, and staff were very pleased to have received an exemplary score of 97% during The Compliance Team’s validation visit in June.
“We consider this a great accomplishment,” Sickler said.
In addition to having fraud and abuse awareness safeguards, RHME has implemented patient care improvement plans as part of a rigorous continuously measured accreditation process. The program features annual validation visits and requires scoring of 90 percent or better to achieve accredited status. It also requires that RHME perform Patient Outcomes Tracking that is reviewed quarterly by The Compliance Team, Inc.
