SPEARFISH, SD –The 14th Annual Hitting for Hospice Benefit Golf Tournament will take place at the Spearfish Canyon Country Club Saturday, Aug. 21. Registration will begin at 10:30 a.m. with a shotgun start at 1 p.m. The proceeds from the four-person scramble tournament will benefit Hospice of the Northern Hills.
Spearfish Regional Hospital, Hospice of the Northern Hills and Spearfish Walmart are co-sponsoring the tournament. The $85-per-person entry fee includes green fees, cart and dinner, as well as many prizes. Registration is on a first-come, first-serve basis and is limited to the first 136 golfers.
The goal of the tournament is to raise money for Hospice of the Northern Hills. Hospice is a special kind of caring for terminally ill people. The heart of the Hospice program is to provide physical comfort, in addition to psychological, emotional and spiritual support for individuals who are no longer seeking a cure for a terminal illness.
